Biography of the Artist
TOM
KNAPP - sculptor, painter
and teacher of art, Tom lives and works in the quaint Mexican community of San
Miguele D’Allende, Mexico. He, along with his artist wife, Dorothy Bell,
maintain a studio in their home, as well as a small gallery. Tom, an artist in
the truest sense of the word, works in many medias; woodcuts, stained glass,
watercolor, but he prefers to express himself in the age-old process of lost
wax casting. Tom was schooled in art at the California College of Arts and
Crafts at Oakland and the Art Center School in Los Angeles, and he is listed
in Who’s Who in the West and Who’s Who in American Art. His works are found in
famous private and public collections around the world.
